The producer only runs vegan products after all dairy products are removed from processing areas – they do a full wash down and sanitise all processing equipment.
Before commencing production of vegan lines the QA team swab all equipment for dairy solids and retain those results for proof of compliance.
The Vegetarian Society that issue a vegan certification audit all processes and records before issuing certification to ensure that the producer is following proper guidelines and that there is no risk of cross contamination.
